His acting journey began in 2019 with his movie debut in “Cart,” where he also lent his voice to an original soundtrack titled “Crying Out.” Transitioning to the small screen, he made his K-drama debut with a supporting role in “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” a role that earned him a nomination for the Best New Actor award at the 51st Baeksang Arts Award. Since then, D.O. has continued to impress with his acting skills, eventually landing his first lead role in “100 Days My Prince,” where he portrayed a crown prince, leading to the series becoming a commercial success in South Korea. D.O. temporarily put his entertainment career on hold to fulfill his military service duties, enlisting in 2019 and being discharged in 2021.
