YouTuber Logan Paul Reveals That He Left ‘Oppenheimer’ For THIS Absurd Reason

1 years ago By Neil Ross

Logan Paul, the American YouTuber, actor, and WWE personality, has candidly shared his surprising decision to walk out of Christopher Nolan’s cinematic masterpiece Oppenheimer. On a recent episode of his YouTube podcast IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul openly confessed that he left the theater midway through the 3-hour-long film, stating that it was primarily characterized by “exposition” and a lack of substantial events. In this article, we delve into Logan Paul’s perspective on the film, his previous encounter with a Nolan creation, and the ongoing success of Oppenheimer at the global box office.

Logan Paul Takes a Stand Against Exposition

In an engaging revelation, Logan Paul discussed his experience with Oppenheimer, shedding light on his decision to walk out during the screening. Responding to his friends’ queries on his podcast, Paul stated, “I didn’t know what they were trying to do. Everyone’s just talking. The film consists of merely 90 minutes of continuous talking, almost exclusively dialogue-driven. This straightforward admission offers a clear understanding of Paul’s viewpoint regarding the movie’s storytelling and pacing.

Interstellar Flashback: A Case of Second Chances

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Logan Paul has felt compelled to exit a Nolan film. He recalled an earlier experience with Nolan’s 2014 space epic Interstellar, during which he left the screening just 18 minutes into the movie due to its perceived slow pace. However, he later gave the film a second chance and ended up including it among his top three favorite movies. This shift in perspective emphasizes the influence of initial impressions and the potential for films to grow on viewers over time.

Continued Triumph of Oppenheimer at the Box Office

While Logan Paul found himself unimpressed with Oppenheimer, the film itself has achieved significant success at the global box office. Recent reports reveal that Oppenheimer has crossed the impressive milestone of $700 million in global earnings. This remarkable feat has propelled the film into the ranks of the year’s highest-grossing movies, securing its position as the fourth-highest grosser of the year. The film’s total collection stands at an impressive $717.8 million globally, with $285.2 million earned in the US and $432.6 million in the rest of the world.

A Remarkable Achievement for Nolan’s Filmography

Oppenheimer has not only achieved financial success but has also broken barriers as the sole R-rated movie to secure a spot among the top 10 highest-grossers of the year. This distinction adds to the film’s acclaim and underlines its widespread appeal. Oppenheimer has surpassed the box office earnings of other notable films, including Fast X and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, further cementing its position in the annals of cinematic achievements.

Final Thoughts

While Logan Paul’s departure from Oppenheimer might reflect his personal preferences, the film itself continues to captivate audiences and achieve significant milestones. The interplay between viewer expectations and cinematic storytelling highlights the dynamic nature of film appreciation. As Oppenheimer resonates with global audiences, it stands as a testament to Christopher Nolan’s ability to create thought-provoking narratives that transcend traditional boundaries.
