In a significant development for the BTS fandom, it has been confirmed that Suga, one of the renowned members of the global sensation BTS, is poised to commence his mandatory military service on September 22nd. This follows the enlistment of fellow BTS members, Jin and J-Hope. The announcement was officially made by BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS.

Official Statement from BigHit Music

The agency, through the global fan community forum Weverse, released an official statement to share the news and provide guidance to fans during this period. The statement conveyed gratitude for the unwavering support extended to BTS and proceeded to confirm Suga’s enlistment date. It emphasized that there would be no official events on the day he begins his service or when he enters the training camp.

The statement also included a heartfelt request to fans, urging them to refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during his military service. Instead, they encouraged expressing their warm regards and encouragement from afar, keeping Suga in their hearts. Furthermore, they advised fans to be vigilant and avoid purchasing unauthorized tours or package products that might exploit the artist’s intellectual property without permission.

BigHit Music made it abundantly clear that they would take appropriate measures against any commercial activities that illegally utilized the artist’s intellectual property. This step demonstrates the agency’s commitment to safeguarding BTS members’ rights and interests during their military service.

Continued Love and Support

The agency also appealed to fans for their continuous love and support for Suga throughout his service and until his return. It assured fans that they would provide all the necessary support to Suga during this period, underscoring their dedication to the well-being of the BTS members.

The Path Forward for BTS

This announcement follows the enlistment of Jin and J-Hope, who are currently fulfilling their military service obligations. Notably, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are preparing to join them in the near future. BTS, as a group, aims to reunite around the year 2025 once all members have completed their military duties.

Earlier, BTS leader RM had conveyed his thoughts on the group’s future during their hiatus. He emphasized the importance of their individual solo projects as part of a journey leading to their eventual reunion in 2025. He referred to this upcoming phase as “chapter two,” highlighting the anticipation of the entire BTS family coming back together with ARMY, their dedicated fan base.

Suga’s enlistment is a significant step in BTS’s journey, marking another chapter in their illustrious career. While fans eagerly await their return, they can take solace in the knowledge that the group’s unity and bond remain stronger than ever.
