Police Requested An Arrest Warrant For Controversial YouTuber And Former Journalist Kim Yong Ho For Blackmailing Celebs

1 years ago By Movies Desk

In a recent development, the Seoul Metropolitan Agency’s Violent Crime Investigation Unit has taken action by requesting an arrest warrant for Kim Yong Ho, a former journalist turned YouTuber, on charges of blackmail. This marks a significant development in a case that has been ongoing since 2020.

The accusations against Kim Yong Ho date back to 2020 when numerous complaints were filed, accusing him of blackmailing celebrities through his YouTube channel, “Kim Yong Ho Entertainment Director.” It is alleged that he would expose negative content about these celebrities and then demand financial compensation to suppress the information.

The investigation into these serious allegations revealed shocking details. Kim Yong Ho is said to have extorted celebrities, accumulating hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process. Local authorities intensified their efforts by conducting a raid at Kim Yong Ho’s residence and office in October 2022, collecting essential evidence related to the case.

Kim Yong Ho was not spared from the legal spotlight. He was summoned for questioning by authorities twice in the year, notably in June and July. These interrogations contributed to the mounting evidence against him, shedding light on the extent of the alleged blackmail and extortion.

Kim Yong Ho’s legal battles have been far from isolated incidents. Throughout his career, he has faced various legal challenges, including defamation and sexual harassment accusations. These previous controversies have only added to the weight of the current allegations against him.

Once a prominent figure on YouTube, Kim Yong Ho gained notoriety for revealing controversial “blind items” and content on his channel. He even made appearances on the Garo Sero Research Institute channel. However, his reputation has taken a severe hit due to these allegations, leading him to announce his retirement from creating content in August 2021.

In his final video, released in August 2021, Kim Yong Ho expressed deep remorse for his actions, stating, “This is the last broadcast for the entertainment director, I’ve become a monster myself trying to expose other monsters…I’m so ashamed of my arrogance, so I can’t do broadcast anymore.” This public apology serves as a somber reflection on the consequences of his actions.

In conclusion, the request for an arrest warrant against Kim Yong Ho for blackmailing celebrities has brought to light a series of troubling allegations that have tarnished the career of a once-prominent YouTuber and former journalist. As the legal proceedings unfold, the world watches to see how justice will be served in this high-profile case.
